Thomas Franklin Ivey

Mr. Thomas Franklin Ivey, age 48, of Lumber City, passed away July 12, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.

Mr. Ivey was born on August 28, 1975, in Telfair County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Woodrow Ivey and Barbara Ann Kersey Ivey.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially if it included fishing and hunting.  He was an Avid Georgia Football Fan and enjoyed driving a Big Truck. He will surely be missed.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Franklin Ivey Jr. of Hazlehurst; two brothers, Jimmy Ivey (Heather) of McRae and Daniel Ivey (Jenna) of Lumber City; Fiancé, Janifer Allene Needham of Odum; nieces and nephews, Mackenzee Ivey, Bradley Ivey, Jimmyjace Ivey and Cayden Ivey all of Lumber City also survived.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Lumber City Baptist Church, visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.

Elliot Kersey, Jonathan Kersey, Brian Reagin, Mason Kersey, Jamie Scott and Joe Prescott will serve as active pallbearers.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
