Mr. Timothy Elmer Carter, age 58, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, December 05, 2021 at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Carter was born July 07, 1963 in Bacon County.
He is preceded in death by his father, Earlice Carter, uncle, Lyman Darrell Waters and cousin, Willie Bratcher. Mr. Carter loved hunting and fishing with his grandbabies. He loved his family, was a people person and he enjoyed life. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was formerly employed with Appling County Prison and Correctional Facility and was a member of Northgate Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter; Amanda Renea Carter of Hazlehurst; step-daughters; Lisa Hyler, Britany Naselius and Amy Starks all of Virginia; step-son, Andrew Starks of Virginia; mother, Olidia Waters Carter of Hazlehurst; brother, Scott A. Carter (Heather) of Hazlehurst; sister, Rhonda L. Branham of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kaidyn Carter, Brixtyn Carter, Kenneth Speed, Chelsea Speed, Heaven Chandler, Myra Bradshaw, Torrey Bradshaw, nieces, Kayla Carter, Mariah Taylor, and Alexis Stone and nephews, Braxton Carter, Brad Carter, Haghen Dowdy, Nate Stone and Cole Brewer..
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 09, 2021 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randall Kersey officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Dirkson, Jason Reynolds and Mosely.
Active pallbearers will be Haghen Dowdy, Steven Bradley Carter, John Dykes, Pete McKenzie, Jason Slusher and Justin Slusher.
