Tommy Dupree Reynolds

Mr. Tommy Dupree Reynolds, age 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away at his residence on February 18, 2023.

He was born on April 19, 1935, in Baxley, Georgia, and was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Tommy B. and Mrs. Beatrice Long Reynolds; son: Billy Reynolds; and siblings: Noraella Reynolds, Roy Reynolds, and Jeanette Rowell.

Mr. Reynolds enjoyed fishing, listening to gospel music, watching old western movies, and caring for his cats.  He was a loving and devoted family man who treasured time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Survivors include his wife: Betty J. Reynolds of Hazlehurst; son: Johnny Reynolds of Hazlehurst; daughter: Frances Taylor (Burtis) of Hazlehurst; step-daughter: Angie Beckworth (Aaron) of Baxley; grandchildren: Allie Beckworth, Cindy Fleming, Johnny Bohannon, Weston Reynolds, Jeremy Wilcox, Christopher Reynolds, Tiffany Johnson (Lamar), and Megan Corrado (Dirk); seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers: William Reynolds (Liz) of Nahunta, Truman Reynolds of Calahan, FL, and Donnie Reynolds of Vidalia; and sisters: Irma Jean Horne, Barbara Reynolds, and Patricia Reynolds.

The family will be receiving friends at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home Monday, February 20, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., and the service for Mr. Reynolds will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel.  Interment will follow at Friendship Congregation Cemetery in Baxley, GA.
