Tony Harper Obituary

Mr. Tony Harper, age 57, of Hazlehurst, died April 09, 2022 in an automobile accident.

 

Mr. Harper was born May 19, 1964 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Harper and Betty Bush Harper, sister, Jackie Harper Jacobs,  brother, Fred Harper and grandson, Grady Hayes

He was retired from Lumber City Police Department and attended the Church of God.

He was a family man, loved his family and spending time with them. He loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and living life to the fullest.

 

Survivors include son, Tony Dalton Harper of Hazlehurst; daughters, Daraley Harper of Hazlehurst and Kelli Harper Hayes (Michael) of Bonaire;  brother, Curtis Harper (Julie) of Tifton;  grandchildren, Canaan Hayes, Hollin Hayes, Slater Hayes and Mykekyn Hayes; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 9:00-9:45 am at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home for immediate family only.

 

Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 10:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Harper officiating.

 

Active pallbearers will be Joe Moon, Weston Horton, Dex Thrift, Rex Hinnant, Eddie Bush, Dalton Harper, Lance Harrison and Chuck Simpson.

 

The family may be contacted at the Harper residence, 63 Mark Hall Drive, Hazlehurst.

 

The   Harper Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
