Virginia Ray Obituary

Ms. Virginia Lee Bell Ray, age 82, of Brunswick, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at Hospice of Golden Isles in Brunswick.

 

Ms. Ray was born May 19, 1939 in Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Hewlett Bell and Lucille Holland Bell, sister, Judy White, brothers, Hewlett Bell and Robin Bell. She was a retired  Tour Guide with Golden Isles Tours and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. She loved painting, gardening and history, she will be sadley missed by all that knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include two sons, Tom Ray of Rome and Phillip Ray of Brunswick; sister, Mary Faye Tretola of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Zoe Ray, Tegan Ray, Ian Hand, Megan Hand, Bob Hand, Daniel Hand and LeAnn Atkins; great-granddaughter, Lili Hand.

 

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 05, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

 

The family request, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick or Hospice of Golden Isles.

 

The Ray family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
