Wallene Hesters Walters

Mrs. Wallene Hesters Walters, age 85, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

She was born on February 19, 1940, in Hazlehurst, where she grew up. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal Christian by faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arther “Herbert” Walters, Sr.

Wallene’s family includes her sons, Arthur Herbert Walters, Jr. of Ozark, AL, and Terry Walters (Rita) of Newton, AL; her daughters, Kathy Hults (Richard) of Ozark, AL, Betthy Mullins (Robert) of Arkansas, Sharon Walters (James Humble) of San Bernardino, CA, and Janet Walters of Ozark, AL; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Walters family are in charge of arrangements.
