Mrs. Wanda Spell Dominy, age 72, of Hazlehurst passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at her residence, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Dominy was born November 17, 1950 in Jeff Davis County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyal and Inez Herrington Spell, brother Ricky Spell and nephew, Matthew Spell. She was retired from Jeff Davis County Board of Education. She previously taught at Jeff Davis Primary School and Jeff Davis Elementary School then later became the School Media Specialist. She attended First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst.
Wanda was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She was an elegant, “dressed to a T” Classy Lady… her clothes, her jewelry, and her shoes always complimented her and her bubbly personality. She enjoyed working in her yards, enjoyed reading, and especially enjoyed shopping. She loved traveling and making memories with her family.
She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert (Stump) Kelly Dominy of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Alan Cole of Tallahassee FL; many cousins also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held, Monday, October 02, 2023 at 11:00am in the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeffery Spell and Rev. Brad Waters officiating.
The Dominy family may be contacted at 72 First Road; Hazlehurst.
The Dominy Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
