Wanda Sue (Bohannon) Selph

Mrs. Wanda Sue Selph, age 66, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

She was born on November 30, 1958, to the late Issac Harmon Bohannon and Lottie Powell Bohannon. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County and a member of Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having movie nights and going to church. She was a homemaker and loved to listen to and sing gospel music. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her great-grandbabies and her fur baby, Miracle.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dannie Lee Selph; her brothers, Bobby Bohannon, Leland Bohannon, and Ricky Bohannon; and her sisters, Billie Davis, Willene Varnadore, and Elaine Yates.

Mrs. Selph’s family includes three sons, Rev. Charles Ogletree (Tonya), Rev. Joseph Ogletree, and Rev. Josh Ogletree (Brittany), all of Hazlehurst; one daughter, Lawanda Lott (Keith) of Hazlehurst; three brothers, David Bohannon, Roger Bohannon, and Timmy Bohannon, all of Hazlehurst; three sisters, Diane Manning, Janice Treat, and Judy Bass, all of Hazlehurst; three special children, Heather Meeks (Collin), Josh Ogletree, Jr. (Whitney), and Amber Ogletree (Cheyne Browning), all of Hazlehurst; a bonus daughter, Molly Whitehead (Dwayne) of Hazlehurst; seven grandchildren, Carmen Ogletree (Cayden), Joshalynn, Julia, Jonathan, Charlie, and Preston Ogletree, and Jayden Lott, all of Hazlehurst; eight bonus grandchildren, April, Thomas, Carly, and C.J. Guin, Dawson Tanner, Naomi Lott, Wyomi and Raymond McEathron; two great-grandchildren, Miley Meeks and Cayzen Sumner, and two great-grandchildren on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church with Rev. Winfred Nutt, Rev. Bobby Colter, and Rev. Charles Ogletree officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until just prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Ogletree, Jr., Michael White, Jonathan Meeks, Dwayne Whitehead, Ike Bohannon, Stacey Bohannon, Cheyne Browning, John Crozier, Thomas Guinn, and James Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Ogletree, Charlie Ogletree, Jayden Lott, and Bobby Clack, Sr.
