Mr. Wayne Glenn, age 76, of Hazlehurst, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Glenn was born April 02, 1949, in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late C.G. Glenn and Shelia Lennon Glenn. He had made Jeff Davis County his home for many years and was a faithful member of First Methodist Church of Hazlehurst, where he was especially passionate about mission work and serving others. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature. Wayne was talented at woodworking and took pride in building and creating with his hands. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In honor and support of his daughter, he was also a registered Girl Scout, a role he embraced with pride. Above all, Wayne loved his family dearly, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Lambert and his brother, Charles Glenn.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Knozier Glenn of Hazlehurst; his daughter, Stephanie Taylor (Richard Jr.) of Kansas; brother, Robert Glenn (Dondi) of Alabama; three grandchildren, Bradley Williams (Kaila Anderson), Alexander Embree and Richard ‘Ryder’ Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 26, 2026 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Riddle officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Palms Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be John Howard, Brandon Shroeder, and Scott Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hazlehurst First Methodist Church.
