Wayne Shumans

Mr. Wayne Shumans, age 73, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, June 18, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Mr. Shumans was born March 12, 1948 in Jeff Davis County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt Shumans and Maggie Bryant Shumans, daughter, Cheryl Lynette Rowell and sister, Elaine Stone.

He was a retired salesman with Shumans Electric of Baxley and was a member of Liberty Community Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the sport every chance he got, he will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wise Shumans of Hazlehurst; son, Johnathan W. Shumans of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Paula Renee Quinonez of Hazlehurst and Katelyn Carol Hilburn (Ryan) of Fayetteville N.C.; sister, Diane Dyal (Glenn) of Hazlehurst; six grandchildren, Justin Wooten, Dusty Wooten, Billy Wooten, Nichole Music, Kaycie Rowell and Joshua Rowell; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 at 2:00pm at Liberty Community Church
