Mr. William Harper, age 79, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, December 31, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Harper was born October 25, 1942 in Clinch County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Harper and Ethel Howard Harper, sister, Edna Harper Barnes, brothers, Martin Harper and Richard Harper.
Mr. Harper was a Veteran of the United States Navy, retired from Hazlehurst Mills with 37 years of service and was of the Holiness Faith.
He enjoyed Ranching, taking care of his cows that he had personally named and growing a garden. He loved his family dearly and always enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Taylor Harper of Hazlehurst; five sons and daughters-in-law, William Austin Harper of Homerville, Marcus Glenn and Shonda Lynn Harper of Homerville, Bob Christopher Harper of Hazlehurst, Emmett Gregory and Cindy Taylor of Fla, and Michael and Diane Taylor of Hazlehurst; brother, John Harper (Janice) of Homerville; sister, LaReeta Dickerson of Homerville; thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 04, 2022 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, visitation will be at 1:30pm and funeral service will follow at 2:30pm with Mr. Michael Beecher and Mr. Byron Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Community Church.
Active pallbearers will be Kenny Jones, Brad Turner, Curtis Ford, Byron Taylor and Peyton Rowland.
